It's weird. But that's not to say it's unenjoyable. In Jerry Paper's first release with Stones Throw, the track list fits an alien pop aesthetic with warbly synths and froggy vocals. At times it distracts from the lyrics, which concisely express anxiety on modern issues such as materialism and consumerism.
